A wedding dress is probably the most precious garment a woman will ever wear, and quite possibly the most expensive, and so demands expert cleaning.

We regularly clean heavily beaded, f- label, embroidered and fine silk gowns to an excellent standard. Please ask about our Bridal Box Presentation Service, where the dress is folded in layers of acid free tissue paper (to preserve the colour) in a beautiful box to keep the dress in pristine condition as well as providing compact storage.

Curtain Cleaning

When it's time to clean your curtains it is important you choose an experienced and properly equipped dry cleaner. Correct and safe curtain cleaning requires expert knowledge as well as special custom made machinery.

At Wood's Dry Cleaners we use large, low temperature, specialist dry cleaning machines which allow the curtains room in the drum for a really thorough clean whilst minimising shrinkage as well as stress to linings, threads and trim. At the finishing stage our specialist steaming process allows us to ensure that your curtains are returned to you crease-free and at their original length.

On rare occasions curtains can become damaged by sunlight and general age. linings or edges of the curtains which have been heavily exposed to ultraviolet can become brittle and tear during the dry cleaning process. We have a dedicated seamstress who can re- line or replace damaged lining and keep your curtains looking like new. Please ask a member of staff if you are concerned about the condition of your linings.

To ensure your duvet is thoroughly cleaned, it is important that it is allowed to move freely during the washing process. We use high capacity laundry machines created just for this purpose. Duvets are spot treated then washed using concentrated detergents, leaving your bed covers cleaner, fresher and whiter. Our three stage drying process ensures your feather filled items are thoroughly dried and of course fully 'fluffed up'.
